Discipline

Basic Principles:

·	At Kloof High everyone is valued equally.

·	We will respect and make every effort to understand and accept each person's individuality, religion, culture, and background; this entails freedom of thought and expression.

·	We will oppose racism, sexism and all other forms of prejudice.

·	We will work to ensure that there is no open or hidden discrimination in out school.

·	We will provide an environment in which all members of the school community can make the best use of their educational opportunities.

·	We are committed to innovation, to a diversity of positive teaching and learning styles, and to the development of the whole person.

Ancillary Principles:

We will conduct ourselves in such a way as to bring credit to ourselves and to our school.

We commit ourselves to doing our best in all spheres of school life.

We will treat each other and visitors to our school and our environment with courtesy, consideration and respect.

We will respect the rights of others to voice their opinions and we accept the freedom of affiliation and association.

We will co-operate fully with each other and accept responsibility for our behaviour.

We acknowledge the right to representation in disciplinary hearings which might lead to suspension, expulsion or dismissal.
